Friday Update on Monday
December 2, 2007
This past week, Debbie, Kim, Tom and I started a series of grade level training meetings. We are beginning with the upper grades as we look more closely at some of our assessment data. We will meet with all grades as we collect more data from our classroom walkthroughs. As I have said many times this year, you are doing an awesome job! It is our responsibility as leaders to work with you to make you better. If we are serious about continuing to improve an already great school, it will take some work and trust. We look forward to working with you to help us grow. Thank you for your commitment to your students and your desire to be THE BEST.

Friday Update on Monday
December 7, 2007
The expectations, stress, and pressure of being part of an excellent school can sometimes be overwhelming. The adult worries that we sometimes carry can also make it difficult to focus on what is important. When I saw the winter musical on Tuesday night, it reminded me of the wonderful things that our children are capable of. I encourage you to remember what is MOST important when it comes to our tasks at school. We have all been blessed to have the opportunity to work with children so we should take advantage of that every day. Thank you for your commitment to your students and your desire to be THE BEST.
“If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in.” Rachel Carson, biologist and writer

Friday Update on Saturday

Take the time to have fun with your students, but try not to forget that every hour of every instructional day is a precious resource. Thank you for your commitment to your students and your desire to be THE BEST.
I want to wish each of you and your families a Happy Holiday break. This is the best time to reinvest in your families and others close to you.
